Higher service and security charges from next year for air passengers
Passengers leaving Singapore by air will be paying higher service and security charges from next year.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore cited significantly higher operating costs for the increases.
It says the higher charges will be slapped on air tickets bought from November for travel on or after January the 1st next year.
The revision would mean that passengers departing from Changi Airport’s Terminals 1, 2 and 3 will pay a total of $28 in service and security charges.
Those departing from the Budget Terminal pay $15 and Seletar Airport, $18.
