SIA cancels all flights to HK on Friday due to Typhoon Nuri
SINGAPORE : Singapore Airline (SIA) has cancelled all of its six
scheduled flights from Singapore to Hong Kong on August 22 due to
extreme weather conditions in Hong Kong caused by Typhoon Nuri.
SIA passengers booked to travel to Hong Kong on August 22 are advised to not go to the airport, and check the SIA website for the latest information about flight schedules.
SIA said information about when flights will resume will be advised when the weather conditions in Hong Kong clear.
SIA said customers booked to travel on August 22 will be
accommodated on flights as early as possible, and information will be
made available when schedules are settled.
For those expecting to meet customers flying in from Hong Kong, the
only SIA flight from Hong Kong on Friday, has already arrived. SQ1,
from San Francisco and Hong Kong, arrived into Singapore at 11.20 am on
Friday.
All other flights will not operate until further notice. Aside from
checking flight status information online, passengers can also call the
Changi Airport flight information hotline at 1800-542 4422.
SIA apologises to customers for the disruption, caused by extreme
