In order to become a pilot, what's the maximum degree(myopia) one can have? Went to SIA site and this is what they say Visual acuity of at least 6/60, correctable to 6/6. For candidates who have undergone corrective eye surgery (e.g. Lasik), your pre-surgical visual acuity should not be more than 500 degrees (myopia). 6/60, correctable to 6/6 anybody know what it means?
As far as I know, it's 400 w/o no astig. Lasik is still not allowed yet due relatively new procedure & it's stability is not finalised. There are complications in several tests n that's across FAA, CAA,most Air Forces.
There are more stuff than eyesight to qualify as a pilot.
Good Luck.
