Cabin crew question ?

What is the most important factor that makes the Interviewers approve a cabin crew/individual his job..? Looks,Ability of articulate conversation,Qualification,Spoken of languages,physically fit or well-manner like ? Which comes 1st and which is the least important factor. Looks...Cert ?
What kinda test or trick question they will throw at u to see wheater your up to their standard during the interview ?
If hired and passed..Can a cabin crew choose his own flight location on where to be based in ? for example: Based in hong kong,Bangkok,KL or Singapore.
And lastly what other skills/knowledge one must possess that is very attractive to the employers. Thus securing a very high chance of being hired by them.
Everyone kindly chip in every knowledge or expertise on this

Would a cabin crew have a choice when hired..to choose on which cities he would like to be based at to serve as his home base ? -

well my bro just joined SIA but i'm not too sure abt bein based where. anyway i guess u wont be able to choose if u just joined?? maybe onli after u've worked for a period of time before u can try??
yes looks are impt, bro was rejected once cos he had some scars or bruise i think from previous work.. (mind u those scars are on his legs) -

now SIA hiring foreigners as cabin crew le..
eg. China woman for china-bound flights etc
a few times I heard was an unmistakable accent of PRC.. guess they will make those china passengers feel more at home

If yes....Im as a foreigner applying at that selected area will i be lose out to the locals..?
For example : Me as a Singaporean citizen applying a cabin crew opening at Bangkok City. Is it possible ? -

you're based in Singapore. haven't heard of people based overseas unless you join some other company.
they usually plan flights according to nationality. -
i know of super hot chicks that couldnt make it even with masters degree...
so i am not exactly sure what they are looking for .. for cabin crew.

unless you're talking about being some sort of a liason officer in a particular country. i doubt you'll get a post like that so soon IF there's even such an opening. -

Im applying for a certain UAE related Airliner that recruiting crews world-wide
Thats includes Macau,Hong Kong,Bangkok,China,KL and Singapore etc basically most of asian countries.
So to summaries the whole thing up....Me as a sg citizen for example go for the hongkong based opening is it possible ?
Since im not a hongkonger the local there will that be a liabilty to as in chances of being Selected by them are slim.. Or the Arabs airliner HR interviewers wouldt care a hoot as long as u meet their criteria and passed? -

you're employed by them you're their bitch when you sign the contract. you bend over if they ask you to. if you're heng you join UAE and you might be based in the emirates.
my friend's gf was from JAL but based in Singapore.
there's a reason why companies employ from around the world.
its cheaper for them to operate with home based employees.
it would be silly if they were to fork out more money so they can send you to HK and let you live as an expat there than as an expat in their own country.

Do u have to keep smiling like an idiot for 24/7 during the interview through the whole process to get selected by the HR or no need as long as pleasent attitude will do ? -

if you aren't what they want and you force yourself to act. then what are you going to do for the next few years? act your way through?
