AdamAir Boeing 737-400 Missing In Indonesia

  CNA and local Indonesian media are reporting that a Boeing 737-400 belonging to AdamAir, lost contact whilst on flight from Surabaya to Manado early this afternoon. The plane reportedly lost contact around 100 miles off Makassar at about 1500 hours local time. The plane was carrying 102 people onboard.
  
  A bad start to the year for the local aviation scene, adding to the recent maritime disasters, I'm hoping for the best for the victims.

  The aircraft was registered PK-KKW, 24070/1665, first flight 11/01/1989 (18 years ago today), and met with 130km/h crosswinds. Its quite unbelievable that such equatorial areas that you get such strong winds. And that sounds quite unsurviable too for the small planes...
