Generally pleased with the entire service. the cabin crew are from thailand and they are pretty friendly. seats have somewhat worn out and its probably a re-furbished 737.
the airconditioning isn't as cold as SIA.
entertainment wise, i played with my PDA. somehow the pretty cabin crew made the time pass just a little bit faster than my 3hr flight in a Fokker 50.
Never tried tiger airways or jetstar yet. Comparing prices, air asia always seems to be cheaper. -
I've flown with Indonesia AirAsia on the Batam-Jakarta vv sector earlier this year. The cabin crew leader could be a bit better in serving her passengers inflight. My first flight ever on a B737, and wasn't expecting much out of it. More so since the plane was bought 2nd hand and hearing stories about less-than-desired ambience onboard AirAsia's 737s. Overall I rate Indonesia AirAsia 5.5/10.
Last September, I flew with Jetstar Asia on the Singapore-Bangkok vv sector. Contrary to my anticipation to fly with Indonesia AirAsia, I was anxious and so looking forward to my first flight ever from Changi Airport and on the A320. Friendly and smiling crews, and a comfy cabin greeted me. I rate Jetstar 7.5/10.
I've yet to try Tiger Airways and Thai AirAsia. But until Thai AirAsia deploys the A320 on the SIN-BKK route, I will stay off course for the time being. -
Thai AirAsia has one A320, but I can't find what plane it is.
In any case, its parent is getting all the A320's deployed on Kuala Lumpur routes, and there are still routes exclusively served by B733 so i dunno when they will decide to cede some aircraft to FD.

went to bangkok and back with Thai Airasia.
both planes were still 737s, haven't got the chance to try the A320. Not even sure if they have it.
Still can't compare since i haven't tried other budget flights.
And i won't be able to compare until other flights offer cheaper rates.
Up till now Airasia has been offering the lowest rates.
