  Latest crash from the establishment of this thread is PR-GTD, a Boeing 737-8EH of Gol Transportes Aeroes which collided with a Embrarer ERJ-135BJ-600 Legacy and crashed in the Amazon forest. 149 passengers and 6 crew were killed. The Legacy landed safely.

  Well, most of you would know of the Cirrus plane that crashed onto a New York condominium. Registration N929CD. Two persons killed.
  If I am not wrong, Cirrus planes have parachutes, somewhat seemingly safer than Cessna. I will buy one with the most obvious answer, if I ever can get the money...

  Whole lot of good a parachute will do AFTER impacting a building or terrain.

  Yeah, when something as simple as a fuel exhaustion, then the parachute is deployed, there just be many in many chances that control would totally be lost and the plane will go smashing into a building/high object.
  If no parachute, then the plane would just ditch into the Hudson River in this case, and survive most likely.

  A Nigerian ADC Airlines Boeing 737-200 crashed while on takeoff at Abuja International Airport (ABV). Reportedly at least 100 (all on board) were killed.
