Does anyone have any information pertaining to the AA2006?
ie:- Does one need to buy an entrance ticket, if so, approximately how much?
- Duration of the exibition?
- Location and accessibility?
- Planes that will be visiting, hopefully, the A380 and the Boeing 777-200LR will make another appearance here in Singapore...

The A380 will be there at the airshow in Singapore Airlines livery. It was in friday's papers. It will be doing low speed fly-bys so get out your cameras for a good shot at the extended flaps, maybe gears??
Btw, anyone know if there would be a static display of the a380? If so would we be able to board it to explore the cockpit etc.. -
I think there are static display, but for the v.i.p.s days ... when it comes to public for sat, sun.. it juz on a fly-by.. unless there gonna do like the paris or dubai aerospace from the ground, then they took off, and it lands back.... hmm it will be a big event for the airbus. Unfortunately, this '06 aerospace will be last in singapore. How to get tickets ah for 06? Im trying to get free tickets from my uncle who works in SIA cargo. -
Hopefully the A380 that will be showcased in AA2006 will be the one SIA will own, not just a sticker. And since SIA is so secretive about the interiors of the A380s, I think the plane won't have its interiors ready for public view.
The AA will be replaced by Changi International Airshow I think, from 2008. Will be held at a new venue currently being built at Changi South.
AA2006 is open to public on 25-26 February only (Saturday & Sunday). Tickets are priced at $21 for adults and $7 for children 12 years old & below. The official website, www.asianaerospace.com, states that tickets are now on sale at all SISTICS outlets.
Like the previous AAs, SBS Transit might provide shuttle services to the event. -
Oic. So is that what they built the changi east rwy for, for the changi airshow thingy in 08? Or is it used by the maritime aircraft from navy cos nearby got changi naval base.

Groundbreaking takes place for Singapore's new airshow site
The airshow will be held at a new exhibition centre in Changi which is expected to be ready in 20 months.
In 2008, when Singapore hosts the Changi International Airshow, the seafront will serve as the backdrop.
Built on reclaimed land close to its international airport, the new space will be dedicated to the air-show that will take place once every two years.

Airbus to show off A380 in Singapore Airlines colours at Asian Aerospace
The aircraft to be used for the aerospace show will be one of five development aircraft that Airbus uses for the A380 test campaign.

The A380 to be shown at AA2006 could be F-WWDD, the test aircraft which was displayed at Dubai Airshow last year, ie stickers.
