ILS and crosswinds

  I've been flying on the a340-313E for a few months now (on FS2004 project-opensky model) and i've a slight problem getting the plane aligned on the centre line when landing, esp with strong crosswinds.
  
  What i did was turn off Autopilot at roughly between 1000-1500ft, 155-160kts, flaps full, take her down to about 150 to 100ft more or less before using the rudder to turn her back into the centreline before flaring at about 3 degrees. The thing is by doing so i tend to get a pretty rough landing and when visbility is really bad, say CATlll? This method won't work. Another other methods?
  
  The ILS is perfectly normal with good weather, but with strong winds it gets me down too far to either the left or right of the rwy, way way off the centreline. Does the ILS system work this way in the real world.
  
  Last but not least, the a340 is suppose to nose up at 3-4 degrees during approach right?

  Nope, more of a virtual pilot. But i'm hoping to get into RSAF, before hopping over to SIA. Cos with a diploma and combined sciences for o levels, i'm not going to get anywhere near SIA.

  he's already given the answer to both your questions in the first post. -_- he's piloting in FS2004 project-opensky model (Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004)

  Donchoo you use keyboard or the joystick? Mine I use the keyboard and I find it quite tedious.

  i usually let the ILS take me down the straight, i just turn off AP for the pitch.

  Hi polarsnake, I use a microsoft sidewinder 2 joystick (good stick but no longer in production). I'm intending to get a yoke but since im flying mostly airbus aircraft on FS2004 so no point.
  
  Its possible to fly the keyboard but its extremly tedious, i tend to screw up the pitch before i bought my joystick.
  
  If i'm not mistaken you're in SYFC (I'm pretty envious, i didn't make it due to eyesight) so probably investing in a joystick would be a better alternative.
