Lasik Surgery and SIA Pilot

I wanted to go for lasik surgery eyesight correction so as to meet the requirement set up by SIA to become a pilot. However i am concern with one of the terms stated in the lasik surgery form. It stated that "going through lasik might disqualify one from a professional job" so i am afraid commercial pilot is one of those professions that do not encourage applicants that went through lasik surgery.
i made a check with the eye consultant from Singapore National Eye Centre. He explained that so far SIA or CAAS did not mention about disqualifying pilot who underwent lasik surgery. The consultant continued assuring me saying these two organisation had actually contact Singapore National Eye Centre and were satisfied with the outcome of the patient. However he did warn me SAF do not allow their military pilot to undergo lasik.
Despite the consultant assurance, i am still not totally convince and would like to ask anybody here who knows of any issues or anybody related to lasik surgery with commercial pilot. Thanks in advance for any reply. -
Its a case by case basis thing.
Even if SIA approve, you will only be accepted for their 2nd interview after 1 year of your Lasik surgery. -

No... the ideal candidate for laser vision correction is over 21 years of age, not pregnant, free of any eye disease and without any unstable medical condition. Candidates should also have a stable refraction. -

Any job which requires me to go for surgery will never be the job I'm gonna pick.

i understand what you mean.. but becoming a pilot is my dream.. i am willing to take some risk eventhough it may not garantee me having the job.

ideal is 21, but 18 maybe also can right?
i really dont wanna go into NS with specs of more than 600 degrees in each eye
