Was looking at the "Careers" section at the Singapore Airlines website.

Under "Generalist Appointments" they list the position of "Administritive OFficers."

DOes anyone know what role and practical duties an Administritive Officer undertakes?

eg: involve airport/counter/gate work?

Or does CHangi airport hire its own staff for airport duties like check-in counters, etc?

A AO is a generic term for Execs in SIA. It depends where you are posted to, your job will be rotated. There are two different kind of AO, generalist and Specialist. Gen gets rotated more frequently than Specialist.

Do you know what kind of duties they have as part of their job description? Does it involve working at the airport, or at head offices, etc?

Unless you are Trainee Station Manager, Most SIA Exec do not work at the Airport. The staff you see there are usually SATS staff, a subsidiary of SIA.

There is no job description. You are recruited on the basis that you are able to learn and can be posted to ANY position they post you too, including airport, head office, oversea posting (though this is always after X years of services), cargo, sales etc. etc.

Most staff works at the head office in airline house behind the airport.

I'm a recent bachelor's degree graduate, so am thinking of applying for a general position with SiA or SATS.
