Marriage of convenience

Just read about this play where a lesbian woman gets married to her friend who is a guy just to make their parents happy.
Was wondering if any guys here who is single will do the same if a lesbian friend comes up to you and ask for a marriage of convenience??
Same goes to the ladies, will you get married to a gay friend just to help him please his parents??
Normally this type of marriage is just in name only lor, no sex involve.

a friend's mum was on her death bed becoz of cancer. she wanted to she her son get married, so he got married with his gf. not those ROM type ..... full-fledged wedding ceremony -

if it's a marriage of convenience, would there be a divorce of inconvenience?
think if the guy is gay, he will lor.... one bird kill two sides of nagging parents... otherwise, not advisable. Cos such marriage won't last... and it'll be more hurting and "inconvenience" to face a even more nagging parent when they divorce.
yah we are to be helpful but there's a limit how we can help.. in this case, it'll cause even more harm on both parties. -

do the parents really love their children at all if they force or pressure their children into marriages?? -
well parents does that for various reasons.... most common being the mindset that one can only be happy and complete with a family, hence the pressure.
for this case, the parents might be genuinely concern... they probably thot if the child get married, she'll be "straighten"....
normally parents are truly concern and care for their children, only that perhaps their perspective and beliefs might be warped due to traditions and the way they were taught. only in rare cases that the parents forces their children out of their own selfish dreams/desires/will.... -
if a parent refuses to change in spite of the misery their child suffers, does the parent love the child?
is it too difficult to change or to do some thinking about their actions?

as human we do wat is right in our own eyes.... same for love. change may seems easy for some, not so for others. esp. if they were fixed in that particular mindset for decades. changes doesn't come easy or conveniently. sometimes extreme measures must be taken (take tis at ur own risk wor!)
the last string of qns... well it's really voice down to perception. They may (I emphasis may) be acting out of a selfish desire, but similarly we may be perceiving them wrongly too.
but I do admit there are parents who... well doesn't really care abt their children. I called them children in adult bodies

If I ever marry a lesbian, she can keep her lesbian activities and I can pacify my parents from nagging me onto marriage. One stone kill 2 birds...kekeke. Dont really have to hold dinner lah...to me that is a big waste of $$$. ROM liao then go straight to airport for holiday.
