Will you be a deserter?

  Think this one mainly for guys lah. This question came after watching Cold Mountain.
  
  Was wondering if you'll forsake your role in the frontline of war and go back to your love one if you receive a letter from her telling you how scare she is and that she need you very much.
  
  For me, I think I'll give up the fighting and go looking for my love one lor. What about the rest of you?

  kekeke, I no need jia one. If I can be with my love one, anywhere also good for me.

  it depends on the cause i'm fighting for. if i'm trying to defend my country from invaders and if my girlfriend and loved ones are still in that country, i'll stay in the fight, but only because that's the most effective way i can protect them. for any other reason, i'll return to her side without a 2nd thought.

  donno leh...maybe I'm a love come first b4 anything guy. Family maybe but can forget about friends lor.

  haha, u opposite from me.. i put love last... cos i dun really believe in everlasting love.. family n frens 1st.. blood-ties are forever n frenship have a higher chance of outlasting love.. last time alot of my previous gf also complain...

  guess you are the Jiang3 Yi4 Qi4 kind of guy. I dont really trust friends lah...so most people I know are known as colleagues or classmates.

  i agree. girlfriend and friend, they're all human and prone to failure after being subjected to test of time. that's why i have many acquaintances but the selection criteria to qualify as my friend is quite 'punishing'. although some have made it.

  its a tough choice...imagine say u r at the frontline, and ur loved ones (can be family or wife or gf) is somewhere far far away... den one dae u receive news tt one of them is dying from some terminal illness and wants to c u badly... (yes yes it sounds drama... so does cold mtn ) wat will u do???

  rush back lah..will go awol if I have to, but maybe my officer might do a saving private ryan thingy.

  I can't really said much becos I am not in the position now. But chances are I will stay put and fight.
  
  My family and love ones will understand this is something I need to do for my country. It is my duty as a soldier.
  
  Beside, I cannot leave my brothers-in-arms to continue the fight while I run back home. All of us have love ones that are afraid and wanted us to be with them.
  
  If I do so, I will never be able to face them again. Even in death.

  i will stay to fight lah... i believe my gf will understand that mi not there coz mi protecting the country, family and loved one lor... sighz... but no gf now so KIA also good lah.. haha

  i'd stay to fight and tell her to hang on for 1 simple reason:
  
  if every1 leaves for their loved ones, no one left to fight and when enemy wins, nothing and possibly no one to go back to .....
