If you value your life, do not go up these mountains at night. Actually, I am not even sure if we are safe here at the foot of these mountains when the sun retires into his golden chamber.
When night falls, the hunting begins.
Hundreds of hunting dogs, releases from their chains, they storm from mountain to mountain, tearing to pieces any living things that might come along their way. Those unfortunate victims were being torn from limb to limb in an instant. There will not be enough time to scream.
Nothing is wasted in the mountains of madness, not a piece of bone will remain. There is a saying among the locals, if one has been to the mountains of madness, and no news were heard from them since, most likely they are dead.
With such an efficient killing machine, there are really not much of any uses of his collection of hunting rifles, which is a source of his greatest pride.
Since I’ve mentioned the Cerberus-like hunting dogs, I must also mention another of his pet. If you should chance upon something white and shinny in the mountain, do not move towards that direction. For these shinny ‘things’ are actually albino snakes, countless of them, all from different species. Lump together, with their skin reflecting lights from the moon, the sight is enchanting. Moving lights in the mist of darkness, luring their victims to their doom.
And sharing the same fate with those that encounter from the hellhounds, no traces of the victims will be found.
I sense great fear in your eyes. But there is good news. Because the hunting dogs will only attack those with evil thoughts, and the enchanting lights of the albino snakes will only have effects on those who minds are filled with greed. So you do not have to be afraid if you have a pure heart.
HmmÂ…. Then again, who can say he/she is without any evil thoughts or greed? A person with a pure heart? Where can we find such a person? Not among us, not in the real world, not even here, in this world of illusions.
So, this must be it, these creatures of the night are the reasons why these mountains are called the Mountains of Madness. For you must be mad to climb these mountains with these beasts roaming around.
Haha, no, that is also not the reason for these so-called beasts will at least guarantee you a quick death. Let me ask you, what is worse than Death?
Different people will have different answers to this question. But I think most of you will agree that what I am about to tell you next, to a certain extend, is worse than Death.

You can avoid the phantom guests easily, for they only appear once a month, and only when the moon is full.
You can avoid the hunting dogs and the albino snakes as long as you donÂ’t travel through the mountains by night.
But there is one thing you cannot avoid. YouÂ…..
These mountains have very strange abilities. If one is feeling happy, when he/she walks among the mountains, he/she will feel extremely happy.
If one is feeling depress, when he/she walks among the mountains, he/she will feel extremely depress.
Hatred, anger, jealously, shame, etcÂ… it will have the same effects on all human emotions. These mountains are the catalyst and amplifier of human emotions, driving us mad, driving us to our death. Screaming in pains, howling in distress, laughing hysterically, the beasts within us are release in that instant, threatening to tear us apart. And there is nothing we can do to stop them.
For all our living years, our hidden beasts within us had been suppress, neglected and untamed. Now they have been release, they have no intention of going back. They will have their revenge. It is time the unwanted twin rules over the body and mind.
For those with weaker will and cannot bear the tortures, death is instant and painful. Subject to such bombardments of intense mental and emotional tortures, many will not survive this round. For those with stronger will power, although death is till the final outcome, but they will be rewarded with a more peaceful deathÂ…Â…Â…Â…
At this point, the survivors will be totally exhausted. They will be too weak to move, like newborn babies; they will be totally helpless, lying around on the grass. That is the time where they will start to have hallucinations.
Most will have visions of their loved one who had passed away. And for those who are single, they may see the visions of someone they love and admire but do not have the courage to let the other party knows. It is really a vision of paradise, full of laughter, not a single worry, so peaceful and relax. Most important of all they are with the ones they love, the ones they longed to be with, to hold and to kiss them gently on their lips again.
They will not want to be awake. Death is guaranteed, but at least they died smilingÂ…Â…
