how to get started in singapore on poetry immersion

  Hi all, I m new on this forum and need some references. I have been writing poetry since i was a kid and am interested to get involved in some poetry groups in Singapore. Does anyone know how I can get started, what are some of these groups , when they meet and who to contact?

  All alone we write
  Poetry comes in dead silence

  Regarding your questions here are a few recommendations,
  
  Word Forward
  
  IMO, this is the most active poetry group in Singapore. They organized regular reading sessions, competitions, etc. Do check out their website. And yes, they have a forum for aspiring poets to share their poems.
  
  Hetero Poetry Club
  
  If you are interested in Chinese poetry this is the group for you. I think they do organize outings occasionally.
  
  And if you are interested in meeting poets subtext will be a good choice. And not forgetting our friends from BooksActually. Do take a trip down if you are free, have a chat with Kenny and Karen, they are very friendly people.
