Poem; HOME

The sky so blue
And yet so dull.
Even the Sun
Had chosen to hide beneath the Clouds.
A wave of nostalgia
Swept over me,
As I gazed
At the unfamillar roads and streets.
The black strands
Untangled itself
As it tried to flee from the foreign land.
A shimmering pearl
Fell out the corner
Of my eye.
As If on cue,
the others cascaded
down my cheeks like a flowing waterfall.
A cringing sound
Awoke me from the depthss of my dream.
And then I realised,
I was home.
This was how I felt when I went overseas myself for the first time and it was then I realised how much I wanted to be home and also how much I wished this was but a Dream. -
I know that feeling. The first time I went overseas, I just wished time would pass quickly, so I can be home again. I guess it was the uncomfortable feeling of being in an unfamiliar place, with people who speak a completely different language. I still do get the "I wanna go home now" feeling when I go to places where people that aren't too friendly.
Being in a new country is interesting and exciting, but sometimes, you just wish you can go home at the end of the day and sleep in your own bed!

Hmm...sadly i wont know how that feels. Always wanted the chance to study abroad. Closest i got to staying away from home for long periods is when i stayed in the hostelOriginally posted by sickeningblues-:It feels so lonely and strange. HAHAs.

I like home, just wish it was less of a rush-all-the-time and less all-about-money.
