Venues for DPS (S) poetry reading
I have identify one place i.e. Coffee Club Express at Holland Village. Will be organizing one coffee cum poetry reading session in late August there.
The only thing I donÂ’t like about that place is it has one washroom and it is unisex.
Any other suitable venues? -
Book Cafe @ Robertson Quay.
Reasonable food prices, sofas and lots of books. -
Don's Pie Club at China Square Central is nice and comfy with sofa seat available.
Canelle Patisserie & Cafe by Les Amis at the Singapore Repertory Theatre Bldg near UE Square also has very nice ambience and fabulous fabulous pastries. Only I'm not sure if reservation of seats is allowed.
Cafe Domus & Wine Bar at owen Road is also open for poetry reading activities, tho I have to admit the price for drinks and snacks is abit on the higher than average rate. It has an open rooftop gazebo thing which is very private. Nice ambience at nite. -
I will have to visit these places.
But I am holding our first reading with BooksActually.
