1. Flag for the bus to stop in advance
2. Hop onto the bus and tap ur ezlink card on the lower part of the blue reader, u shld hear a 'beep' sound n the light shld be green. (In the case where the light flash red instead n the sound goes 'beep beep beep', it either means that u hv no more $ in ur card or that ur card is faulty. Therefore, make sure u hv coins w/ u n ask the bus driver how much to pay n rem to collect ur tix).
3. Press the 'Stop' button in advance when u reach ur destination n rem to tap ur ezlink card once again n make sure its 'green' light~ if not go to the front n ask the driver oh ya n 'yes', u can exit n tap ur card at the front

Registration numbers of all SBS air con double deckers a.k.a. superbuses are in 4 digits and starts with the number '9'. Current registration is 9000 to 9690, 9800 to 9849 and 9888.
So, if you are at SBS bus interchanges, there is the TV displaying 'Next Bus Departure Time'. Shown on the TV, you can look at the bus registration number of the service you are taking and then know if the next bus is a superbus or not (of course NOT applicable for services with only single deckers in the whole fleet). If the number displayed is 4 digits and the first digit is '9', that mean it's a superbus.
As for non air con double deckers, registration numbers is in 4 digits and starts with '7'. -

I have notice that many passengers do not bother to look at service amendment notices put up at bus interchanges/terminals and bus stops. Incident 1:
A group of people are waiting for their bus.
Their bus finally came and they walked closer to the pavement.
The bus drove into the bus stop and drove out again, without stopping.
I looked on with amusement. Want to board the bus yet don't want to flag it.
Incident 2:
There are a lot of JC students on the bus.
Obviously the JC students would want to alight at the bus stop by the side of the school.
But no one pressed for the bell.
Result: They alighted 2 km away.
I looked on with amusement also.
One example, on service 62 first day of route amendment last December, almost all the passengers onboard did not know that the bus no longer bring them to Bugis and Chinatown. The route had actually been shortened to loop around Kallang MRT station, thereafter heading back to Punggol. -
