Most volunteers join not for the pay but for passion in keeping sg safe

How about SCDF auxillary unit? they operate similarly to the VSC, go check it out la -

besides..i got lots of free time...if its rewarding in terms of experience... well..why not..? -

ouh... found the application of VSC... but not much details..
* Reservists may apply but upon enrolment, will not be exempted from their National Service responsibilities.
* VSC Officers serve without remuneration except for a duty allowance of S$2.80 an hour regardless of rank.
* Male applicants must have fulfilled their National Service liabilities or be exempted.
* Those who are in full-time National Service (SPF/SAF/SCDF) will not be considered. VSC Officers are eligible, depending on their ranks, to join as associate members of the Senior or Junior Police Officer Mess. VSC Officers may also participate in welfare activities offered by the Police Welfare Division.
* Shortlisted candidates will be notified within a month. -

get to see the ins and outs of society.. same goes for the SCDF auxillary unit.
beats the gungho SAF hands down. no offence to the men serving in green.
they do an impt job.
But the real people who do the dirty and tough job of keeping the country moving is our guys and girls in the home team.
