  i speak for myself, not for other guys. well honestly im a rather lazy person, and things i dun have an interest in, i wun do. Although for housework, i try to help out sometimes. For chores like cooking, well cooking is an interest, so I do cook, but i dun always wash e dishes. anyways, most of the time whatever i do, is becos mom asks me to.
  
  as for my room... well its kinda messy.

  last time i go one of my classmates house do projects...he command his sis do housework n everyting he v mcp tell us tat girl mus do housework guy canot do...so i was tinkin lor..

  i think its all about upbringing lor..my mom always ask me to mop the flr, clean my own rm etc..even after dinner, i also gotta wash my plates etc..so its normal for me..

  As above post, sometimes it's more about the upbringing and perceptions instilled by the family, than the gender
  
  Personally I believe as long as a person lives independently and can't afford any help, then he's gotta clean up after himself.

  To be fair, if both combined salary can afford help , is best. Otherwise both gotta clean lo. This is more about necessity & practicality than gender roles.

  i do more housework lately leh.
  Coz i working from home lately..... parents gone oversea.
  
  So i wash the clothes, dry the clothes, cook my own meal, clean up the place, feed the fish, look after the dog. Feed the dog. Water the plants. Become driver for parents when they went for hoilday. Then driver again when they return pick them up from airport.
  
  All this while i still got my work to do, project to complete.

  personally, i think part time help is the best
  
  a full time maid kinda takes away all the privacy
  
  a part timer to do the ironin would be excellent
