I dont knw cos it has not happen to me.
I think without kids will be easier for me and my parents. It's never good to be step parents even if you treat the kid like your own, other will still give u a strange look.
What if you have a kid of your own? Will this kid feel inferior? Will he/she feel that you will love your own offsprings more than him/her?
As on whether will I accept a divorcee, think it very much depends... can only tell you when it happens to me
