wah, nice big one man. Must have taken you at least an hour if not more to land it. How many pound line you using. I think at least 60. shiok ah.Originally posted by F.O.S:Yes same area with ah huat , this Kelong is just next to Ah Huat.
The 38 Kgs shark is not caught by me, that guy's rod is just beside mine. He use a rotten bite fish left over by other customer on the floor, he is using a normal rod with a cheap reel and 30 lbs line only. It takes him 1 1/2 hrs and 2 person to hold the rod and 4 person to hook the shark up.Originally posted by KumSioJui:wah, nice big one man. Long time never go sibu already, have not tried the other kelongs but the thing I like abt sibu is the very nice sceanics, nice cooling wind, good facilities like bed, fan, decent toilet and electrical lighting, cable TV and the food is great or at least I heard from a regular that Ah huat kelong has a better cook the skill almost like high class restaurant standard. And the seafood is fresh just off the boat and you better believe it, every 2 days big fishing trawlers will moor alongside these kelongs just to sell their catch.
The fishing in the kelong itself can be slow however I don't expect much, though it's a kelong suppose to have a lot of fish but also have a lot of visitors so the surrounding waters are intensely fished out and every week brings new batches of hopefuls but once in a while or so somebody will bag the big one.
Hope you had fun, I envy you.
i think if i take up fishing, i prolly also go kelongs very oftenOriginally posted by F.O.S:thats why I am stuck there
