Company goverenance is not as clear cut but someone must do the checks or MDs will want to always benefit and keep raising the prices or do accounting fraud all the time to line their pockets. I wonder if this guy did his market analysis carefully before he made that decision cause there is always a ripple effect and that drives price sensitive customers away. Increasing the price, but the cinemas remain just as they had been: no better shows nowadays, small leg space, no better service or sound systems, lousy seating for the same price, lousy customers, no HP jamming, etc. Seriously, I still don't see why I should pay more for the same service. He might make cinema become a little less accessible to certain segments of the market where actually they had all segments. Its just as the MD realised that SG are very very easy to cream and would pay up after all the complains (we just don't stand united or take some united action other than write some letters). Just as the interviews on TV where people would very unhappily agree to any price hikes so as to "look" agreeable all the time.
I am practical. To me its just become more attractive to watch VCD, engage in piracy than ever.

Decision to raise price resulted from the society's decision / recOriginally posted by mistyblue:chairman only. Advice to society ... and sometimes chairman is do nothing job...
He cannot make any decisions.. And film making is really dependent on the film maker / director / scriptwirters / actor, actresses
