Took a taxi from my place(bt batok) to raffles place yesterda....
Once inside e taxi driver say, "Wanna go by PIE exit steven rd?"

Bloody hell, tryin to cheat my $$ ah! Den I told him go PIE, exit AVE6 into AYE...
Alone AYE near clementi rd exit, he say," Wanna exit by CTE, merchant rd??"
I was lik Again!! I angrily told him,"No, exit by Keppel rd, den go anson rd into raffles place."
Finally reached my destination, I angrily hand him A $12 note n say, "dun tink u can bluff me into goin long way ok, bloody taxi driver!!" n slam e door aft me!
Idiot driver, tink he can cheat my $$ by goin long long way!! I hate tis type of Taxi-drivers!!!
So dat's y I dun slp in cab n always on e lookout on directin on which way they go in case they tryin to b funny! -

actually, a cab driver's life is not easy. consider the hours they spend on the road n how much they earn every trip is quite miserable. of cos there r some black sheeps but these r not much i feel.

Maybe the driver was just trying to see which way u wanted n not to cheat u. Some customers have a certain preference on the roads on different times of the day so I'm sure he asked out of courtesy to know the way u wanted to go. If he really wanted to cheat u, he prob wun even ask u in the 1st place. And even if he wanted to cheat u, u still knew the best route for u so u were not cheated anyway. So why still get upset over something which happened more than 24 hours ago? Tomorrow is always something to look forward to. We never know if we're gonna be alive still so let go of any shit today. den the taxi uncle say.. the max for a ride home from orchard shouldn go beyond 8 bucks..

I always feel that Taxi driver is a crook..... When you tell them to stop at a certain place, they look at the meter and stop when the fare hit the next stage, don't care where it is. If the meter haven't jump, they will move until it jump and stop. Once I ask the driver to stop and pay the fare, it was $6.70. He took such a long time to change and when he got it he pay me $3.20 because meter had jump when he was changing. I got the mind to F@#$ him but it is only 10 cents and my mother is already waiting for me... so forget it.
The other time, I directed the Taxi on the road. I was going to St 51, my place and along the long road, the turn in St 51 is my place. I was tired, dozed off, the bloody fellow turn in from the end of the road to my place causing another 60 cents or so !!!! I asked him and he say, he thought I want to go that way. WTF..... My best friend is a Taxi driver, whenever, we go out last time when I still owned a car, I always asked him to drive, the bloody fellow will always go long route one. I think it is in the blood for them to drive like that... -
I take a taxi almost everyday, and at least 90% of my trips have been good experiences. Sometimes they get lost and need directions, some drivers ask for my preferred route, but there are no major hiccups nor acts of dishonesty. In fact, some drivers shave off the 10-20 cents of a fare and round down the amount.
So to answer the topic, love is too strong a word, but I'm a satisfied customer in terms of driving on the road... cab availability is another matter Definitely couldn't do without taxis. -

I used to drive. I don't have a car now. And I hate to take taxi. I rather take the bus or MRT where possible. But the few incidents is because I was taking my mum to hospital and since public buses is a bit difficult for her movement, I took the cab.. Not that I am calculative. While we were waiting, we see all taxi with sign " Hired " or they don't stop. We had to wait like 45 minutes and still cannot catch a single cab. Finally, booked taxi and it appear within five minutes... What can we say about this ???
