(A) Venue
I have to admit D&D at a beach bar seems too casual. Would it be better to organise an "outing" where ppl juz gather together & makan together. I personally would feel it would be a more successful event if it is juz a " Meet the crapper" outing.
(B) Dress Code
When I thought of D&D, I expected it to be in some ballroom where ppl DRESS UP. Not in bermuda or short. NOT in sandals or slippers . Leather SHOES!!! HIGH HEELS(optional
) Of coz u can say wear those to the beach is okay BUT WUN IT B FUNNY..... Smart casual for D&D way too odd...

Commitee might say got this budget... got that budget. Pardon me for saying this. But ur ticket costing idea seems to be copying from *ahem* "SOMEWHERE". I dun think I would spend money tat some of us can last for weeks. If it is for a better cause, i wun mind
(D) Purpose
I feel the event is only simply " GRAND" by the lucky draws/ great music... Other than tat, it seems like an ordinary type of outing. It's like having "LOUD THUNDER & only drizzle".
If it is juz a meet-up session, why not have a mass forum outing.... HOFS cum KPKB cum 30s outing. I remember last year Marine South CNY reunion dinner. Around 50-80 turn up. Tat was a memorable outing for all especially those " pigs" in nick's lorry -
Hmm, i think it would be better if they are able to answer some of the questions... I know they're busy and all, but transparency will help in the turn up... i think.

I believe what Mospeada and committee is doing and planning their best to make the D&D worth the price.
though the place might sound to you guys not worth the price, but I am sure prefer the money to spend on food , prizes than on the enviroment right?
If this D&D is going to held in Hotel ball room, I guess most of the money goes to the room itself, food and prizes money will reduce. those going have to spend some money to put on themselve, isn't it making the response worst?
in any case in Hotel , at sea side or whatever function there will be compliant.
Therefore I suggest not to take this thread seriously, just crape.

With so many what ifs, the easiest way to find out is to do it.
People who dare to try new things may not always suceed but they r always the ones to benefit from it.
It doesn't matter how the money is utilised. It's only S$38. Even if 500 attends, and the organisers run away, it's ok. Trust cannot be bought, nobody would run away with a sum so small.
Have a little bit more faith, have a little more sense of adventure. Life is so short, if so many things we dun try, we'll miss out on so much.
Venue or dress code, we can just make do. When u pay peanuts, u get monkeys. D&D is a term. But this event is an effort by some forumnites for all forumnites. Maybe even if we cannot attend, we should at least be constructive n not criticise or doubt.
There r many ways to spend S$38. It's not how much u donate to charity, but wat u do daily. If u smoke or gamble, how many S$38 can u save? If u donate only when there is a charity drive, why not do it daily? We always follow the crowd with a wait n see attitude. We become followers of trends.
If S$38 can bring joy to the 13 organisers for their effort, it's a cheap price to pay. They deserve some appreciation for taking all this stick from everyone. -

But have some faith. Even if I go there n there's no food, it's ok. We can always eat elsewhere. The worse that can happen is no food n it's no big deal.
