  I have incurred a debt of 8k for my four credit cards, unpaid bills, loans and rent due to the fact that my company may not be able to pay my monthly salary and the three month bonus it had promised due to the tsunami incident. I'm on the verge of going crazy and I'm already digging into my coffers to barely survive. Chinese New Year is coming soon and my kids would not be getting new clothes. I'm still tied to numerous contracts and the bills are killing me

  Everyone, I just got my paycheck. Everything resume to normal with the exception that the bonus was cut to half.

  8k is not a lot, luckily u still have a job, it is better that you cut down on some of your insurance, talk to your agent c how he can help you tide over your current situation, cos they are financial planners rite? If he is not up to standard, lemme know. I recommend my friend to help you plan.
  Try to get part-time jobs to increase your income resource instead on depending on the main one.

  Well, there is always a work u can do......................... if ur really deparate.. ahem.. cough cough *gigolo* cough cough..............I heard it pays well.. around 6k a week....... not that I encourage it of course

  you cannot be declared a bankrupt for less than 10k debts. but 8k wah 24% rollover interest would be $1920 just for interest, total amt shy of the 10k mark.
