Sure, I saw ceecookie too at the sgforums BBQ and yes, he was with his mother. I remember the mods asking his mother to come up and intro herself to everyone.
And yes, I did take note of his physical condition as well.
Still, no excuse for some of the things he said. He really inflamed a lot of people by making ultra-racist remarks, anti-religious remarks, poking fun of the tsunami victims, etc.
And don't tell me that he should be excused because of his age.... I don't remember making such remarks when I was 14. If he can't even act his age, then he should never be in sgforums.com
Sure, he did apologise once. But did he truly repent? I don't think so. He still continued to poke fun of the tsunami victims. You can flame the guy, you can blowtorch him, drop napalm on him.... and he will never wake up his ideas.
If he continues like this then I have nothing to say about how he's going to continue with the rest of his life. I seriously hope that he's just a childish little piece of crap who is dying for attention in sgforums.com. If he's like that in real life..... Then I really pity his mother for having such a terrible son.
I know I'm being very harsh on the kid.... but the way I see it, he deserves it. -

We should not discriminate against one even if one is doing wrong. We should give advice, persuade someone from it. If we cannot, it doesnt mean we should oblige ourselves to promote assault on that individual. -

I don't have anything against the kid, if you all want to know. Touch my heart, I have never hated anyone in my life. You can beat me up, destroy my assets, humiliate me, mentally torment me - and I would still refuse to hate you. (I've personally experienced all this before). However, I still take serious issue at some of the things he said. Racial and religious harmony is something that we can never take for granted in Singapore. Some of ceecookie's postings crossed the OB line - big time. Inflaming racial and religious sensitivities is not a small thing. He did apologise in the end, but he still continued with his insensitive postings. To err is human, to repent is courageous - but to apologize and then continue with one's wrong deeds is utter hypocrisy.
