bought a pirated NFSU cd yesterday...
knn...cannot install
always tell me cannot locate cd-rom drive. nabei..
uninstall dunno how many times liaoz
kns...feel like breaking the cd into halves with my bare hands

there's normally a crack in the cd .... look for a folder called Crack. follow whatever instructions they provide

to explain what causes this ...... and this would also explain why you cannot duplicate an EA Games' cds the normal way
they purposely create "bad" sectors on the cd when they create it. the program/game actually looks for these bad sectors, as an authentication method. if the cd in the drive doesn't have this bad sector, it means that it was duplicated without using the method EA uses.
why it cannot be duplicated the same way? cause normal cd burning s/w corrects the bad sectors. it removes the bad sectors before burning the cd, cause in normal circumstances, bad sectors are useless and just take up space. when the game looks for the bad sectors, it won't be able to find it. there are ways to remedy this ..... try searching on the web. i don't want to put myself into a sticky situation by quoting links ..... -

i dbl click a prog in it called setup ( i know it's not the crack ) to install but...do it 3 times liaoz in the noon ...sian.

you mean you installed the thing liao then when you try to run it, it says the cd-rom cannot be detected?
try finding the crack folder in the cd-rom, then manually copy it to the folder where you installed the thing on your comp.. -
