my opinion? it depends lor. generally i'm for it, but the couple has to be ready. if not it could be pretty bad.
at the moment i couldn't see myself cohabiting again (i was living with my last gf for almost 2 years) becos i'm too busy, with work and even at home, and imagine not having time for my gf when i'm living with her! that's something that would utterly destroy the reln. if i do get attached, i'm gonna have to totally revamp my life, becos any gf of mine now is gonna be damn tu lan that i have no time for her. in a way i'm glad to be single.
okok off track liow, when i was cohabiting, my gf was a real real high priority for me, she had to be, i was working AND studying, so whenever i was not doing either of the two, i was with her, either at home, or go out etc.
so i guess it boils down to how committed u wanna be with each other. there's no point living with each other just so that u can come back to the same house every nite to sleep. -
hmmm i feel good to stay together coz ya can seee if there is any problems or etc which in the future ya habe to anyway ..... so start early and retify the problems.... ~~ juz my own opinion ~

hehe don't mind leh...hmmm.. moving in would be a good way to know more abt the person's living habits and the way he behaves at home.. so then u will know if your living habits compliments.. hehe.. ya..
u will also get a taste of your future in laws.. not a nice thought but i guess its good too cos ya u will know wat to expect in future -

IMHO, regardless of gender, the key issue remain the same - doesn't it make more sense to try before you buy?

I read that cohabiting does not give any higher chance of subsequent marriage working out.
True, it will be interesting to know how staying together feels like and reaching a deeper level of understanding. But it is hardly any guarantee nor prediction for a successful marriage.
For me, I'd do it just because it's great fun -

I've had it go pretty badly wrong on me before, and it was due to unforseen circumstances beyond our control. The good thing is that we found out in time and took a break, and now we're good friends. -
