Well, according to the instructor, you just have to walk the steps, and naturally your hip will 'shake', dun need to do it 'purplely'..............;p

Did some research, there are few places to learn:
1. Jitterbugs
2. Attitude Dance Studio
3. Xenbar
4. YMCA
5. LA Dance Connection
I will try 2 and 3 since they are more 'on the way'.... -
Xenbar sounds fun. If I remember correctly, Friday is salsa newbie's night. It's like a fun, group dancing class . And free!

Monday, Wednesday, Friday got free classes...I am thinking of going to learn at Attitude on Friday, Pop by Union Square after that, and Xenbar on Saturday..hehe -
Not at all! Still looking... not taken the plunge I'll probably visit Xenbar on a Friday night, sometime soon I hope.

Attitude and Xenbar is around 12/13 dollars per lesson. Seriously I don't know which one is better, Attitude is a proper Salsa dance studio, where Salsa is a bar where they conduct Salsa classes too......

Then the night after Christmas I went for a dinner function at Amara Hotel, my friend also attended. As the dinner was slow to start, he brought me to a club in the hotel where people dance Salsa. The place is Union Square. Will the setting was quite cosy and I quite like the ambience. After I went back to the function, they presented a Salsa performance and I was quite impressed. So then I talked to the instruction who then invited me to go down to Xenbar to take a look at the free classes. So I went the next day to look look see see, and the instructor wasn't around the the replacement appeared to be a friend of my sister who is now working in Hong Kong, then on the way back I saw dozens of people doing dancing outside the shopping centre near my place.........wow...........yah, quite coincidental -

Heheh not bad at all, can be considered Epiphany level sign.... all planets are in alignment for you to conquer the salsa arena.
With 2 practices a week, I bet you'll pick it up really quickly.
