Raymond E Feist (Yah i love the Empire series too, i read them 4 times thru, also i finished all his books, except for his most recent books. All the series about Kronder and the alternate world.
Mercedes Lacky
(all her books too, my favourites are those about Valdemar, Among the best writers, i highly recommend it)
Ann McCaffrey
(Her's dragons of perns series, a very long series about 15 books i think, but i like her series about talents(psychic), finish every single one of the books until dolphins of Pern and also her series about brainships, and ooh yes the Crystal Singers)
Margart Weis (for her Death Gate Series)
RA Salvator (Forgottem realms series about the dark Drow Drizzt, Cleric Quintet, Demon War Saga)
