Hi everyone! What do you think of cheerleading in Singapore? From S-Leagues to Varsity to Secondary to Primary schools to open team?

Hi Benjamin! Shirley here by the way. Cheerleading is WAY COOL! =) Hot babes and hunks, cool moves and stunts!
But the cheer scene in Singapore is still rather young, but I'm sure we're getting there. NTU will be the first varsity cheer team to come up! =) Will release the website when it's done, will be way cool..

personally, i think they're irritating and sometimes block what's going on in the pitch...
during half time, they distract some people making the lines to the toilets that little bit shorter...
but then, that's me.. hope there are other people out there who feel differently -
to the bear, prehaps u could suggest to the official person of the sleague by writing a letter or something... it might help and maybe one day u might see the cheerleaders disappear from the stand.
we must adjust to changing times and still hold on to our unchanging principles

Cheerleading in Singapore still has a long way to go but it's definitely going places. (Go Denvers!!!Heehee)
I definitely see an increase of interest in cheerleading at least among the secondary schools and tertiary institutions. Kudos to the NTU cheerleaders starting out this year. Keep going people. NUS??? Anyone interested in forming a team??? I still like the name Vickazzy. Woohoo!!! (Sorry too much mocha)
Anyway going out to all the cheerleaders out there. Just do your thing people. Bound to get criticisms and stereotypo all the time (wat language i'm talking) but who cares?? Just have fun and soar or fly to greater heights. To the flyers whenever you hear the song "Flying Without Wings" at least we know what it's really like to fly without wings heehee. Be loud and be proud!!! Keep the cheer going!!!

i guess soccor is a popular sport in singapore, it attracts audience and it's the only sport that ppl can gamble legally beside horse race. it's common to see cheerleaders in matches in other countries and singapore is trying to follow... maybe if rugby gets really popular, they might hire cheerleaders or set up a team to cheer for the team.. who knows

maybe u can try wearing a pants with big hole then dun wear underwear.. see how ppl react, i think they puke right onto ur ares sia. at least give a raitonale b4 u say anything la. toot. -

not to wear is sure a good suggestion. but after that it's pure bore! keeping the knickers on means better exercising our brain power of imagination.
the main idea is to draw yr attention and motivate u to cheer along. whether your eyes go and mind run wild is another issue.
