doubleyellowline2004, first took place at The Substation's Guinness Theatre on Sunday, 15th August 2004. produced by local musicians FOR local musicians. The name "doubleyellowline" connotes the No Parking rule, which metaphorically is the message the organizers want to express to the performers and the audience - the notion of not stagnating, of always moving forward in the pursuit of musical excellence. doubleyellowline embodies the spirit of determination and initiative. The show, with bands playing everything from emo to punk to alternative, reaches out to the music-loving populace - the young and the young at heart

who are playing?
bathroom acoustics
consists of ave on vocals, ben on drums, juan on bass and fairoz on guitar. formed on 26 june 2004 and fronted by ave, a 1st year undergrad at the NUS faculty of law, bathroom acoustics plays sadly beautiful emo and already have two definitive original songs, red poppies and black. ben is serving his national service with the police force, juan is a 1st year mass commer at ngee ann and fairoz is a regular with the police force. the band was born when ave decided that instead of criticizing how other people sang, she should practise what she preaches and form a band of her own so that she could apply her own perfectionist standards on everyone else. hahaha. (some parts of that are true.) she found their original drummer, helman, on soft.com.sg, and recruited fadhly whom she knew way back in her jc days. she also found juan through the ad she posted on soft.com.sg, and the rest, as they say, is literature. (don't change the subject!) after many changes in line-ups, being sorely disappointed by a number of musicians who came and left, bathroom acoustics played their first show at kovan INterchange with helman, who then left the band amicably to pursue his solo percussion career, with the warmest of wishes from everyone else. helman was replaced by ben, who also plays for the leaven trait. the band hopes to move towards creating more original songs and gigging more intensively in the near future.

eugene's moment of truth
Their music can be described as a cross between the old and the new. a hybrid of what was being heard on radio then and now, and everything in between. an amalgam of their musical influences and inspired life events. e.m.o.t create songs to reach out to people. they have showcased their original music inspired by various genres to several audiences at events stated below. the current lineup is just about half a year old but the band itself has been making sound since mid 2003.
black ductape
Black-Ductape are: Iskandar – Guitars and Vocals, Noriman- Bass and Vocals and Trisno- Drums and some shouting. formed sometime in the 3rd quarter of 2003, black-ductape started out playing punk-rock and punk-pop in one of their bedroom cum jamming studio. since then, they have written some original songs. currently, their influences includes from blink-182, rancid, finch, green day and many other bands. these three 15 year old kids met in their secondary school where they played at school events such as Teacher’s Day and their school’s Talentime. on a larger scale, they also performed at local gigs, the latest being Tapestry 2004. since then, black-ductape’s catchy and edgy punk-rock has impressed and been enjoyed.

Vocals: Hafiiz Bin Osman, Guitars: [Md Fathul Ariffin], Bass: [Ivan Soh], Drums: [Jun Min] made up of members with diverse influences, from punk to pop to metal. their music is an eclectic mix of their influences producing a sound of punk rock unique to the band. the band has been around for three years now, learnt a lot along the way and still learning. performed at a few gigs and recorded a demo cd. they also have a song featured on a local compilation and a newly released 4-way split. all that aside, there can only be one reason for their existence - their love and support for the local scene.

founded in 2004, Fourteen10 is not a boy band. they are pure rockers with Ak on vocals & guitars, Kiong on guitars, eXe on bass & vocals and DiveFroggy on drums & vocals.

been changing band members ever since it started sometime in 2002, Juliet's Diary got bored and sick. ever since the bond came amongst the band members, they've come to treasure the friendship they've found.

the band started out four years back with hopeful dreams to contribute in the local scene. 4 guys jamming every single time they can hoping to tighten their sound and hoping to just to be able to play at shows. the emotional-charge punk rock kids with main influenced by The Get-Up kids,The Ataris,Unwritten Law,Jimmy Eat World and Further seems forever got their debut shows back in sept 2001 at the very 1st Licensed 2 Revolution show held at Changkat cc. the band felt lucky juz to be able to show the local scene what No Direction stands for. they then were invited to play at some shows after their first show.To name a few are:BAYBEATS 2002,Licensed 2 Revolution 1 and 3,The Punk Rock Show,Asthenia,Idiosyncrasy,Operation Aids gig,It's Alive@NUS, It takes a kid to know@ANA Hotel,Void Deck Music and so on.
pale pretense
its just a simple story of three guys, a girl and a jamming studio. founded in late 2002, pale pretense started out as a sorta-acoustic band for lin and viv as a means of killing time in between lectures in school. later on they decided on being a fullblown (rockstah!) band and rope in fir (drums) and isk (bass). alternative emorock with the occasional dash of funk, punk and jazz. that's pale pretense. and no, we don't pretend to be pale.

one of the few free form bands in singapore, the variation of our music can go from bossa nova to heavy metal however our forte would defenatly be pop rock. Our music can best be described as radio friendly and our bands consists of 6 members which can be broken down into 4 guys and 2 girls.
