  There is no one comprehensive textbook.
  
  Can u explain why u need it for? Did u ask your music teacher for advice?

  stopped piano lessons at grade 5 very long ago......but thinking of continuing again, so need to revise theory first....... anyway i don't have a teacher yet..

  My piano teacher recommended me one before, but I can't remember the title since I decided to stick to my ABRSM one.
  
  The ABRSM one is like, they don't separate the contents according to grades. It's just chapter by chapter... and it's not so comprehensive and concise either.
  
  You stopped theory at Grade 5 also?

  ya, stopped at grade 5 for theory too.. but it was so long ago...returned all of it to my teacher already.
  
  I think I probably would have trouble even passing grade 1

  Are you sure it's THAT bad?
  
  I mean, after all, you've learnt theory up till Grade 5. Grade 1 theory is not hard at all!
  
  You can work on your theory after you've found a teacher. Just tell her your situation and I'm sure she can help you to quickly re-learn all those stuff.
  
  Or if you want... you can be like me. I used to do my theory book before my piano teacher taught the chapter, by reading on my own my ABRSM book. With the textbook and the workbook together, it's not that hard to figure out how things work most of the time.

  Um, so what do you guys play for grade 5?
  I'm not too sure because i don't take classical piano. I'm in jazz piano.
  
  Oh btw, does anyone knows approximately what grade is "Clair De Lune" and Chopin's "Nocturne in C# minor"? Its the main piece in the movie "The Pianist".
