Well uhh, finally I get to watch Singapore Idol.
I thought the first contestant up on stage [shucks wats her name] looked really bright, cheery and sweet. Nice dress too, but what's with the red color maaan. Her singing was quite dull and lacked life on the overall.
And Joice looks like she should join the Dim Sum Dollies group of girls. I mean, seriously she looks and behaves (on stage) more like she belongs to the theatre. Very lively and full of expression. She'll do great in musicals.
The guys were all a disappointment. We had a Bon Jovi impersonator who looks like Ah Du, a messy overly-jazzy interpretation of "What a Wonderful World", weak techniques. Christopher Lee was the better one, but not quite there yet.
Shirin was good! But I thought she looked like she was trying to dress like Christina Aguilera. Maybe that IS her style. Hey, who cares, she sounds really good! Candice Foo also good.
And Daphne's turn... made me wanna stand up and dance along hahhaha. :X I like her! -

This show rocks! I think Sylvester Sim is sooo cute. I rooted for Haizad Imram though, cause hes my DNT teacher's brother, plus he is so gorgeous.
As for the girls, I just can't stand Beverly!!! Shes sooo exaggerating. First performance she cried and said all the "Omigods'" which I simply found irritating. Second performance, when she knew she got in, she looked as if she was insane when she opened her mouth so wide. Woo, I think the attitude is not there. Not modest enough.
Another male contestant I think might have a chance is David Yeo, I must say he has one of the great attitudes. Olinda Cho is another contestant who can make it biggg. Bubbly personality.
