Where to find classical music CDs in Singapore?

  Hi,
  Besides Borders, HMV and Gramophone, are there any shops in Singapore that specialise in selling classical piano music at a reasonable price?

  Check out the stores selling instruments and stuff... Most have those CDs you're looking for, but variety not big.

  You can try HMV, they have a wide variety of Classical Cds, some are even imported which you can't find in some of the stores..

  Specific store ahh... Off hand I can't quite remember which stores exactly... Oh dear.
  
  But then if I didn't recall wrongly, IMM has quite a number of stores specializing in instruments. If you live around Jurong, do drop by and peek a peek. They should have them.

  I'm into Piano Concertos. I have been listening to them frequently for the past few weeks. Now, I have the complex piano music "ringing" in my head.
  
  I wonder how many Singaporeans like to listen to classical music?
  
  What do you think of this statement that I coin myself : " Chopin plunged into the abyss of depression to bring mankind some of the finest gems in piano music."

  Piano concertos need not be complex, fast and furious (personally, I find Chopin abit long-winded), some are nice and lyrical.
  
  Check out 2nd movement of Tchaikovsky's Piano concerto No.1 in Bb minor. It reminds me of childhood...
  
  I simply cannot forget the flute solo in the opening measures, after some measures of pizziato strings chords!

  You will appreciate the piece EVEN more if you know...
  
  1) Who's the composer?
  
  2) Purpose for composition of the piece? (To commemorate a loved one, an occasion, a commission)
  
  3) When it's composed? (To compare the composer's style of composition at different times of his life)
  
  4) Music of the piece altered because of inability to play by ancient instruments? (Beethoven's 5th Symphony has been altered because horns in his time cannot play certain notes)
  
  5) Any influences by other composers, people (Some composers' style of composition are also influenced by people like another composer he admired, his mentor, what's fashionable in music at that time...etc.)
  
  Hmmm.... I think that's all!

  There's a music shop (unrelated to Yamaha) at Plaza Singapore, same level as yamaha music school. Can't remember the name of the shop.
