Usually a lot of improvisation.. generally will listen to songs, heavy metal, a lot of instrumentals (satriani and vh influenced). Usually my stly more of bluesy, so whatever song i think i know how to play, i just "blues it up and slow down the beat" Otherwise, will just rock the entire song.
