MD or MP3 player?

  I am currently considering whether i should get a Sony MD player or other brands MP3 players.
  
  Can anyone share their experience or recommendations?

  i prefer those MP3 players that have their own memory.. no discs or whatever.. they're small (very small), and you can dump a pile of songs inside from your PC, and delete whenever..
  
  you can also use the player for other things like my iRiver 512MB can be used as a radio and a voice recorder (good for 8 hours of recording at 128kbps)

  Hmm I prefer a MD player.
  
  Cos I can put the songs into a disc... discs.. carry around.. easy exchange... easy classification.. don't have to keep uploading songs from my computer..
  
  mp3 player.. can only keep less songs right?

  Looking at bear's 512MB iRiver......I estimate it can carry 100 songs.

  Uploading songs is actually quite fast. Right, bear?

  it's about there.. if you encode your MP3s at a lower bitrate, you can add more
  
  as for fast, it can be faster but it's fast
  
  USB 2.0 is only that fast.. and mine does not have a firewire slot...
  
  the iPod does
