  A-Ha's "Take On Me" MTV. Very unusual cos the MTV is shot in a traditional animation style and the characters would jump into real life sometimes. Kinda retro but still nice.
  
  Also, Bjork's MTV always amazes me... very cutting edge art-direction and up- front styling. One clip I remembered is the one where this liquid thingie runs all over her... thru the nostrils, ears and eyes I think. Can't remember the song but that was really cool.

  Wang Li Hong's music video for "Liang Ge Ren Bing Bu Deng Yu Wo Men" has a rather interesting shot...
  
  I think they stuck the camera inside the guitar, so what you see on the screen is blackness except for the hole on the guitar, showing the world outside the guitar. I thought it was beautiful, cos you can see the strings clearly, with him plucking it.

  There is this concert clip, Satriani Live in San Francisco Stu Hamm was playing a solo bass instrumental session.. the first part quite interesting.. You nv knew bass could be played like dat..

  Yah i saw the clip you are talking about.. not that one.. Never seen it being posted here before. That guy is playing an acoustic guitar. I am not sure if the clip is available at kazaa.. but its quite an eye-opener.

  hahaha, the first mtv i ever remembered seeing is the one by 'ah ha' ... gosh that was ages ago...
  
  Got quite a few other good mtvs,
  mayday's er wo zhi dao :p
  di yi ci by guang liang (funny)
  ff8 and ff10 mtvs
  plus many more.... mainly chinese though. I like mtv's with running stories.
  
  oh, whats that aerosmith mtv with his daughter and alicia silverstone?
