  his instruments remind me of the thing kopi posted electric versions of something acoustic

  aiyah one important thing when in such a band... you must NOT think of yourself as the lousiest player.
  
  Have confidence in yourself. You need the confidence to express yourself well through the instrument. Playing in a band is for performance, so how can you not have enough confidence?

  i've been influenced by my uncles who used to listen to Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and all these..
  
  so i'm kinda skewed towards these types.. however, i listen to almost everything
  
  hmm.. one of these days, set up some kinda MP3 swapping thing.. whoever is looking for songs, just post and we share

  trombonist here. to reach high notes, wat i told my junior is to try wif on ur mouthpiece. try blowing air towards the top of the mouthpieces. done tis several times before trying on ur instrument.
  
  I noe the trombone is quite heavy, but using the same technique u did on ur mouthpiece alone, TRY lifting up the trombone STRAIGHT. U will find it easily to reach high notes.
