Questions about kips

just bought a new kips.. got a few questions about it...
1) is your acceleration fast? coz mine, if i never open trottle to around 4 x1000r/min, it would be moving off at a slow speed... macham gonna engine stall like that
2) does your exhaust pipe give out alot of smoke? coz mine do
is it because its a new bike?
3) if i didnt do a proper run-in, what will be its side effects? coz i seem to go above 100km/h while on expressway... long story... would not want to do it if it wasnt for that tailgating car
4) when u start your engine, how long do you keep it running before riding off? coz it seems that i always need to use the choke while starting the engine and leave it there to heat up before i can ride it

Hello bro, welcome. Me too just ride a kips not long... Let me ans ur qns.
1. 4k rpm is pretty alright, but 3-4 is okay already. The thing is to trottle to this rpm 1st, then release 1/4 clutch.
2. Smoke... As in? Move off or starting engine? Smoke amt should be alright. Don't bother too much abt this.
3. If you didn't do a proper run-in, your bike will have no much power. If a good run-in, after it, your top speed will be higher and pickup also faster. Stay to 80km/h for 1800km. After that you can play all you want....
4. Morning die die sure must on choke for me to start engine, I think is the factory default spark plug is cheap 1 lor, when you send for service, go pay more for a good plug lor.

Sometimes the giving out of white smoke might be because ur 2T valve is injecting mixing too much 2T with ur petrol. Try lowering it.
As for running in, going at a certain speed is only part of it. You also need to season through all the gears, i.e. wouldn't be a good idea if u kept running along expressways at a fixed speed. Try going along normal roads where you have to keep gearing up and down. That will provide a good run in. -
Exhaust rust due to heat, you can send to shop for repray, but it will still rust, the best solution is to "tong" your pipe.

thanx rain....but u din mention wat rpm does the valve open cos i notice only wneh u travel faster then the power will start to kick in!!!!!...as in 'tong' the pipe will not rust ...wats the reason behind...how abt using chamber pipe?

Inital pickup tend to be harder, cause there is this thing called "inital". But once go off, you can feel the power start to come into as you release clutch from 1/4 to slightly more than 1/2, that about when you kick to 2nd gear, the speed abt 10km/h. Try to go outside for some practice and you will be familar with it.
I heard "tong" pipe won't be heated up, thus will not rust lor, not very sure either. Can the experts here voice some comments?thanx rain....but u din mention wat rpm does the valve open cos i notice only wneh u travel faster then the power will start to kick in!!!!!...as in 'tong' the pipe will not rust ...wats the reason behind...how abt using chamber pipe? ..tong and kui toh pipe is it the same meaning???.....

indeed.... i have been playing around with my bike at night. stopping and moving off. and i find i must open trottle to around 4-5rpm to have a smooth start
for the turning on of engine before going off, surely have to use choke one. after that on ur trottle and keep it up until when u leave ur trottle close, ur engine wont die off. after that then can move off smoothly, or else got 70% chances engine stall.
if pillion ppl muz open trottle to around 5 liao... or else like not enough power one -
btw, whats the max speed for a run-in

Try to use 4k is enough for a smooth pickup. Slowly, dun rush to pickup fast lor...
Pillion ppl just pickup slower, 4k will still do fine.

if dun blow trottle after close choke, the engine will die off
i'll move off only when the engine doesn't die if i dun blow my trottle and my choke is off -
Usually I just on choke and let the engine warm up abt 1 min, then after I close choke, I just blow 1 or twice then I move off liao. Hmm? Running In... LOL my opinion abt this running in thingy only applies to pple who wanna have a longer life for their engine... not for those who wants powers and speed. Just imagine if run in for about 1k to 2k km how many wear and tear to piston liao... lol no more good compression liao ...
