Wonder why kips kickstart so hard... Alway must on choke then can start... Then everytime to move off, the RPM drop very fast..., sometime too fast then engine stall liao. Any advice..
btw, wat is the "top" which is green color light means? -

basically the choking could mean that you have a "detonation" in the cylinders and that usually caused by foul spark plugs, there unable to burn the mixture of fuel and air properly.
you will also notice black smoke because when theres too much air and little fuel mixing, you'll get black smoke and vice-versa to get blue smoke. when the engine travels too fast and the spark plugs can't detonate fast enough, the sequence will than be wrong and end up with a stall.
have your engine go for an inspection or have the spark plugs changed. by the way what i mentioned above is based on airplane's engine concept.

i also have to same problem.....
when i first got my bike, after warming up and wanna move off, 50% engine stall......
and anyway. the 'top' means top gear..... meaning the 6th gear -
probably nvr warm up enough.

So paiseh on road, especially using center lane, then so many car behind waiting for you to kick... Quite often lor aft stop at traffic light, then want to move off, then stall.

If before I moveoff, I turn trottle until RPM 5-6k, will it solve the problem? At least there are more power...

that means either your idling too low, or you clutch release too much.

when bikes r left overnite, the petrol in the carburators r either drain off or evaporated, thats y chokin the bike would involve more intake to start the combustion

me starting also stall engine in the middle of a junction... lucky my one is electric start.... for kick start, i was told that if u maintain properly.. kick one time will start right away.. i have seen this myself.... a sp rider kicked only one time and the engine start off right away.... -
Try to familiar with it, prehaps I release too much clutch... How many KM is necessary for a good run-in of kips?

Spark plug. The type of plugs u use is important for easy starting of bike. I used to start at about 5-6 kicks with my phantom last time b4 i change my spark plug to the present one, but now 1 kick and the engine starts. Find a reputable mech to advise which plugs is most suitable to use for ur bike

especailly when pillion ppl then engine die

Thnks, I just go out to practice on this for abt 1hr, get the hold of it liao, now can do it alrdy, but starting when engine is cold, have to on choke lor...

1. change ur plugs
2. increase ur idling if current wan too low
3. warm up for about 5 mins until ur rpm increase
4. cant think of others, rectifier spoil?
try the first three and tell us the result
for kips i only know spark plugs means a lot to them... spark plug blown, no matter wad start also cant start ur bike 1 -

hw 2 increase the idling spd?.... everytym i start my sp, sure my use choke .. if not cannot start.... my rpm is ard 1000... tink its abit 2 low...
