older batches of TA150 like FQ, FR, older FS
esp those silver, black, dark green ones use the sticker labels
for newer productions, esp the blue TA150, r the newer FS, FT
oso got black, silver, but no more dark green liao
they use the metallic labels...
there r rumours tat older batches claims to be more powerful becos got no power cut...
stil cant confirm...
but if u look at NSRSP. there r oso the same rumours goin on... -

FS how many years ago thing, now FW liaoz.
that time SP just come out, still a new bike, my fren buy, can reach 200. (the one ride 3 years but mileage nvr exceed 10k km that one
) that time SP expensive... he bought 10k.... now sp 2-5k, vomit blood man
then few years later got more frens go buy SP oso, FR, FS, all 170-80 only. no matter wat top speed oso lose to the FP one. -

let's just discuss this a little... for discussion's sake...
hmmm.. both batches (FP; the others) have the same power specified on the tech sheet right, which theoretically means that they should attain the same top speed...
this is not aimed at anyone in particular, but does anyone think that the SP is electronically limited? via the speedometer input to CDI? which means even if i:
1. use a tuned exhaust pipe (unobstructed, tuned expansion chamber, straight-through stinger),
2. "racing" carburettor (can be large or small depending on whether you're talking about maximum airflow or air velocity in the venturi), + a proper rejet,
3. high-flow air filter (or none at all),
4. sprockets optimized for top-speed (something super big in front and super small at the back, e.g. 16 front, 39 rear, even if it takes me forever to reach top-speed),
the later SPs will still max out at 170-180? there're many ways to tune for power, but just listing a few...
hmmm.. my humble opinion is that 2B bikes won't be electronically limited, given the low accuracy of the front-wheel driven speedometer... the "slower" SPs could result from LTA imposed restrictions on the bike, like restricted exhausts, smaller carburettors etc...

when it comes to real corners, cannot make it liao...
the best moments of my cornering on my phantom is
the lower part of genting highlands, where u can maintain 130-140 doin all the bends ...shiok ah...
i doubt can find any in SG, dun tell me 99wan... rd too small liao, go fast sure die.... hehe -

As white mentioned, definately NO! He is treating u as carrot head. Btw, i brought my FS plate for $3100 without insurance at about 2-3 months ago. Actually we should compare the rpm also. If the older batch hit 200 while the newer batch only 180 at the same rpm, maybe is different speedo reading or spocket size.
If different rpm, maybe there is restriction. Then can do something to reach higher rpm, higher speed. -

I'm making a trip to Thailand to custom-manufacture an unobstructed exhaust pipe with tuned expansion chamber and straight-through stinger for my Phantom. At the same time to source for a suitable racing carburettor and high-flow air filter.
I might drop by at spareparts suppliers for replacement sprockets to optimize my top-speed.
Anyone interested to buy so that I imcrease my bargaining power and reduce overall cost?
