Today I went down to NTUC to renew my road tax, and upon reaching the entrance, I saw this piece of paper saying that
With effect from 15th February 2003 we will not be accepting new proposals for the following vehicles:
a. following motor cycle models :
Yamaha(RXZ)
Honda CB 400
Honda NV 400
Honda(RVF400)
First of all, why is this insurance company denying the renewal of motorcycle insurance policies to certain bikes? (it is still possible to renew, but on a case-by-case basis, IÂ’ve checked it out liao)
Secondly, what makes them list out the bikes mentioned? By doing so, aren’t they sending out messages to people that the bikes mentioned all of “Claiming Insurance Caliber” ?
Thirdly, if the above paragraph is true, how true is it? Any statistic to show or proof? If so, how worthy and authentic can the information be? Source from?
In the past 1-year or so, we bikers have been suffering in silence (except in forum), increasing of insurance policies have been a big blow to us, esp. those newbies in fulfilling the biking dreams.
I hope that perhaps someone from NTUC can ‘enlighten’ us, esp the bikes mentioned in giving us a satis answer on why they make such decision.
Last but not least, if NTUC doesnÂ’t want to accept policies, whom can we turn to????????????? -
they need to cut loses. whatever bikes on their record that has a long history of claims, they will eliminate it. such is life.
bikers suffer in silence for past 2-3 years only, insurers suffer in silence for past dunno how many years liao. -

i just renewed my ntuc insurance...
$398 fer TPFT last year.
$354 fer TPO tis year.
anyway if ntuc not accepting S4 n RVF, u can try the new insurance company AIG, (anyone got the webby fer it?) scalli more cheaper coz new competitor leh . . ?
