With more and more HDB car parks turning to EPS, are they being fair to motorcyclist who have to pay 65 cents per entry?
Currently with the coupon system, we tear a 65 cents coupon for whole day parking at any HDB/URA car parks.
Now if you have to go about, in and out of the car park, you pay 65 cents each time. This is a far cry from the coupon system.
The EPS is beneficial for car owners, who are charged by the minute, but penalise the humble motorcycle rider.
Decision makers and planners are most likely car owners, and therefore they just couldn't care about the bikers.
i park pavement
park pavement illegal rite..
Hmm, is there really such a change? It doesn't affect me much. Most places I go are still free parking or coupon or per entry charges (shopping malls).
In the Bedok area. The car parks converted into EPS are car parks of walk up blocks comprising of three room flats. One by one they are being converted.
Large car parks I would understand the need to modernise, but a series of small car parks, in low income areas?
Pavements?
What will happen when a kid gets burned by the exhaust pipe of a bike parked on the pavement?
