b4 entering a corner, drop to gear below wat u actually need.
After u enter the corner, throttle the bike, nvr play the entire corner w a closed throttle!
Control the radius of the turn by lightly playing w yr front brake w the throttle open. This is also how u do a power slide. Practise slowly first. when u get used to this and take a big corner, u mite hav to up a gear somewhr after the apex.
If u r flying solo, when u take a deep corner, do the following. corner left, out body weight on right leg. corner right put body weight on left leg. This will help u aviod the bike slipping away from under u.
Always look far into the corner and stop staring at the road infront of your tyre. Guage the apex and play accordingly.
When taking a right corner, start taking the bend from the left most and sweep inwards. when it's time for u to throttle u should be at the innermost point of the apex and start throttling out and start straightening out till u r upright back on the leftmost area again. Always check your rearview mirrors for other vehicles comming up from behind. -

Just realised in yr other thread u r a p-plater. no offensce man but ignore wat i wrote earlier, gt used to riding yr bike normally 1st b4 trying anything adventrous.

phantom is a good bike to start out with and get used to riding in singapore. me seen a lot of p-platers who bought nsr & kips get into vry bad accidents, sometimes even death, i knw sometimes nt their fault but i knw wen u hav a fast bike u tend to go fast and tts wen it gets dangerous.

Also trying to learn more about corners. Also a P plater, Phantom150....
Now learning how to bend lower on corners. Notice that when doing a left turn, 'push' my left hand, the bike can go lower. (last time is turn handle bar only)
hmmm, doing it with cautious and see road conditions permits or not.

I think its too much for a newbie liao lor. Dont play with the brakes first. Just drop gear before enter the bend so that the rpm is higher, more power. If u read carefully wat i wrote, wat i meant was is tt speed is relative to the rider's skill. If u have no skill, u cant do jack shit w no matter what bike u have in your hands. Am i wrong in saying tt? y r u so offended?
An experienced guy on a phantom wld mst probably beat a newbie on a sportsbike anyday. -
