i will choose a 200......cos 4 stroke...low maintenance..no need 2T....Originally posted by j007:If u were to choose between a 150 and a 200 bike. Which would u choose and why?
additional 29cc better must say in wat sense. cant just say that bike got bigger cylinder its better than a similar bike wif a slightly smaller cylinder. wat thing better?Originally posted by De|usi0n:*phantom 150 oni 150 cc, phantom 200 is 179 cc, better
my personal opinion only, subject to debate, ta150 faster pickup and top end, but ta200 more powerful. ie, with one rider about same weight i think ta150 faster, put a pillion on both and will be about the same, lone riders go up steep upslope ta200 faster, steep upslope AND pillion the ta150 gone.*in term of appearance, phantom 200 would be more killing than
phantom 150, better
wat thing? the only diff is the tank design and a small diff in the side cover. and maybe can say the first edition ta150 has no pillion lean rest, but that one can add. and tank design, although i agree latest designs better than the old ones, not happy can make your own depending on budget. i did a low budget redesign by taking off the original phantom sticker, cut out my own design and paste. cost me less than $20 to do. wat thing 'killing'?
* But i think phantom 150 can run faster than phantom 200...can
anyone correct me if i am wrong about it, cause i'm a slow rider...
not sure the 200 capacity, but nonetheless 200 consumes noticably less petrol than the 150 in terms of mileage.Originally posted by De|usi0n:but i think 200 can contain more petrol than 150 izzit?
the apek never maintain never wash and polish regularly, box oso put any cheap one. my bike actually my dad's, he oso put the king Givi box all black that thin plastic apek kind how not to look like apek?Originally posted by De|usi0n:donno so much about phantom 150 thou...just that when i see 150 and 200, i feel that 150 more apek looking. my thought oni. tat's y i say 200 more killing..and when i say that, i dont compare with a bike that is modified internally or externally. just the fractory default, hope u got wat i mean.
i will choose a 200 cause can backfire ppl.Originally posted by j007:If u were to choose between a 150 and a 200 bike. Which would u choose and why?
good breakdown...Originally posted by Ducati996:i ride a ta150. before i start, i declare first i not trying to start flame war btn ta150 and ta200. i always say, looks is subjective performance is fact. by that i mean that some comparisons is subject to a person's taste so u cant argue if a person feels a certain way. performance is performance, if its like dat then u cant say otherwise. in short, i wanna do comparison, not argument. i not taking side of ta150 just coz i riding it. i not taking sides at all.

hahaha u understand me..Originally posted by BumbleBee:but before your 200 can backfire, weezer says must download the sound and place it at ur pipe with a veri small speaker first
both uses the same tank, only different paint work...Originally posted by De|usi0n:but i think 200 can contain more petrol than 150 izzit?
Ta200 is 197cc to be exact.... typo error lar.... hahaOriginally posted by De|usi0n:*phantom 150 oni 150 cc, phantom 200 is 179 cc, better

*both bike need a lot of washing and polishing to look chio chio loh.
*finally, its up to ur liking. test both bike and feel if u like it anot. i
guess tat is the best way to find out.
not that i wanna argue wif u, just that my personal opinion is minor cylinder size not gd gauge of power. get a lone rider on stock ta200 against lone rider on stock rs125 see wat happen. get stock tzm150 against stock cb200 see wat happen. after all, in superbike gp 700cc racers put up a credible fight against their bigger 1000cc competitors.Originally posted by De|usi0n:ya loh...so soli...big mistake there...197-150 = 47 cc ; 179 - 150 = 27 cc.....Phantom 200 slightly more powerful than Phantom 150 loh.
actuallie 250cc sure beat 150cc mahz...if both oso 4 stroke or both oso 2 stroke...Originally posted by Ducati996:not that i wanna argue wif u, just that my personal opinion is minor cylinder size not gd gauge of power. get a lone rider on stock ta200 against lone rider on stock rs125 see wat happen. get stock tzm150 against stock cb200 see wat happen. after all, in superbike gp 700cc racers put up a credible fight against their bigger 1000cc competitors.
of coz if u wanna say 250cc sure beat 150cc bike then nothing to say.
but i agree yes the ta200 more powerful than the ta150, but mebbe more from 2 and 4 stroke diff rather than cylinder size.
no lah not shooting anybody, just wanna let u noe personally i dun believe can say bigger cc equal better bike. better must say in wat sense, if the additional cc indeed convert into more power on identical engine, say R6 and R1, ok mebbe can say. but btn ta150 and ta200 using the diff in cc alone without anything else to substantiate the claim that bigger cc makes the ta200 better a bit off.Originally posted by De|usi0n:soli, i p-plate oni...not very gd abount bike, dont shoot me leh..
i oni know my bike very clean externally...donno how to clean internally

In fact TA150 runs on the same engine as NSR150SP and packs in more horsepower than TA200.
but 2-stroke engines r inefficient...
Just in case u guys r intersted in how the 2 and 4 stroke engine works. u can check out the sites below:

ta150 has more hp? i tot ta200's 4 stroke gives it more hp? ta150 2 stroke gives it more speed but less power due to inefficient combustion, i wrong? then how come the ta200 look like got more power than my ta150?
