how old is your bike?
i had that very same problem. stop liao then rpm drop and vibrate as if petrol about to finish, had to play throttle to prevent stall. then within 2 months it deteriorated to the following symptoms:
1. neutral gear nearly impossible to catch.
2. kicking between 1st and 3rd gears veri veri stiff.
3. coming to stop, kick down to 1st from 2nd my gear lever will rattle very badly.
4. when temp gauge beyond halfway mark, stop at 1st gear, fully clutch in rev bike will move.
5. increasing idling speed does NOT solve the problem.
my dad take one look tell me my clutch cable worn out. changed it for $10 and problem solved. wat happened was with fully clutch in the cable tension no longer good so i still at biting point.
disclaimer: i am NOT a mechanic, but i can offer you a suggestion. try increase your freeplay, by that i mean when fully clutch in, you must release even further to catch biting point. then try and see if problem persist. if solved, most likely your clutch cable worn out. if the increase in freeplay u are still comfortable, then can stick to it but i must warn u the wearing out rate quite quick within 6 months i say even with the increase u fully clutch in eventually u still cannot clear the biting point.
btw, b4 i changed my cable, i increased my freeplay 'veri the a lot', such that clutch in i must release veri far away to hit biting point, and wif that i released i had no problems at all. so if u wanna try, adjust a lot of freeplay then test, just to check the cable. adjusting onli a bit more may not be able to notice.
but if problem still occur, then i donno.
and btw, my dad advised me, u know the freeplay screw that u turn to adjust? the screw has a gap on one side. my dad say always make sure the gap face downwards so that rainwater will not go inside coz rust will increase wear and tear. and clutch cables more than 2 years old must oil at that spot for maintenance, less than 2 yrs then dont coz ur oil might interfere with the 'better' oil that would have already been there from manufacturer or mechanic when he changed new one. just in case fellow riders wanna take note.
