Buang Experience.

Please share yours, this serves as a warning to those young and newbie riders to take care of themselves on the road.
My latest buang, is last week or is it the previous week....nevermind...here goes....
I was traveling along AYE in the morning, heading towards the city, I was riding on the first lane, overtaking, I wasn't paying attention, then a vehicle infront of me brake. Shit, I e-brake, but siao liao, cannot e-brake in time, so to make the best outcome in a bad situation, I tried to siam to the left. Too late, Bang! I crash into the vehicle. scratch the car's left side bumper and crash left side lights(brake,reverse,etc lights) and I fell onto the 2nd lane.
I was lucky that day, the car on the 2nd lane stop just in time, so I wasn't run over. I just got bruise and scratches on my right leg. And the shocking thing is my bike no problem!!!! That fella's car got smash and my bike no problem.
But I thank the heaven that I'm in one piece, just think, if the 2nd lane car didn't stop, I wouldn't be here writing this. It was my fault anyway, I wasn't paying attention on the road, just have to live with my mistake and pay the damages.
My advice to newbies : Pay attention on the road. Accidents happen in a split second!

buang 1:
raining, road wet. PIE jalan bahar exit, left filter than turn right, ahead lights red, from far i gradually kick lower and lower gear, from second to first kick too soon, engine brake very sudden, suay suay front tire happen to be on white arrow, coupled with sudden engine brake my front tire skid. so sudden, my ta150 so heavy before i realized i skidded i already kissed the road. heng car behind swerve into other lane. kind malay taxi driver helped me up. i ride home to mechanic, bike go straight is with handlebar turned all the way to the right. leg bleeding from cut, arm bruised, jeans tear big hole.
moral: careful when braking on wet road, especially where got white arrow. oso, for phantom crash bar is good idea to protect handlebar when buang.
buang 2:
just finish raining, road still wet. road got bend, i bank wif second gear. never see oil patch, front tire skidded, again i kissed the floor before i realized i skidded.
moral: wat can i say? you suay means you suay.
buang 3:
my hdb multi story carpark. outside heavy rain, floor extremely wet. the slope go next floor u all know almost ninety degree turn. bank my bike a bit, immediately front tire skid i kissed the floor again.
moral: multi story car parks the floor damn bloody slippery when wet. once, i braked, tires stopped but bike still moving forward handlebar start dancing almost skidded. so, dat situation try onli first gear half clutch move, go veri slowly, turning use handlebar NEVER bank.
overall moral: GET RID THOSE BLOODY IRC TIRES!!! -
I hope all bikers will drive carefully on the road. My cousin is a ntu student and he is going to graduate soon but last year, he met with a terrible accident. He lost the right side of his brain and is in coma until now. it's more than a yr.. He's still lying in the hospital.
And drivers, please be careful if there's any drivers beside you. give way to them. A slight knock will get the bikers down on the ground. -

1st case and only case: Skidded
Weather: Sunny
Why: while into a bend, knn, sawsome oil patch but can do much liao, corning @ low sppeed riding vespa, then skidded b4 i noe
Specially thanks to: Amaly uncle riding, from other lane, stop come and help me up
Lucky: behind no car, bus or lorry, many lorry always go by that bend @ fast speed

Lesson learnt : avoid painintg of road markings and oil patches

i too have a accident and u all will be shock where it happen... it happened in a car park. the TAXI in front of me was travelling very slow... i was behind him and intend to overtake him from thr right... the next thing i know is he made a right turn and bang onto me... i don't know who is at fault as he didn't signal... the insurance company help me claim full in motor repair and injury... the story teaches us never overtake car in carpark as too narrow and damn the TAXI who didn't not signal...

Buang 1 (20/06/02): somewhere in malaysia...when cornering kena lotsa sand.But it's only after I come out str8 road then skidded.Just after going str8 bike lost control.Wobble left right left right then I down liao.My foot kena my foot rest.Left two vampire marks on my right foot.Wound was abt 1.5cm deep for both holes.My whole foot swollen and all bruised too.Like pig trotter.I still donno why i skidded.Maybe the sand haven't got off from my tire and i still accerelating?Should be ok right? Aiyah...why don't i slow down a bit after the turn leh? accerelate some more...sigh...
moral: i don even know why bike lost control! all i thinking is maybe the sand lor....
Buang 2 (13/11/02): At cte tunnel...one leading to clemenceu and one to merchant.I took the merchant one.Str8 road b4 the turn i was at 100km.I was intending to keep my speed thruout the curve(cause gradual curve mah) but then I tot aiyah so fast for what so i release my throttle just when cornering.Then halfway of the curve wah piangs wei my bike losing control liao.Coz the road is so greasy.Sharks..I try to slow down slowly but too bad...b4 i know it i was already lying flat down in the middle of the road.Luckily that time 4plus in the morning so no cars behind to ran over me.I got up and try to push my bike up...but no strength leh...just fill the tank only...so i gong gong stand there and wait for cars to pass by and i flag for them to stop lor.One van stopped and help me to push up my bike and then i rode back to tampines liao.Went petrol station to find my fren to lend first aid kit.Cleaned a bit then went back home.
Pain sia... my jeans and t shirt torn,my visor scratched,right ferring scratched and i am with wounds on arms knee and shoulder.
Moral: Don't go so fast in tunnel.Be extra alert cos in tunnel you have grasspatch to fly to except hit the wall.lucky i never kena the wall.Anyway do u notice all those oil patch inside the tunnel?try to siam it lor.And you know why the tunnel forever so dirty?Cos the rain how to get in to wash off the grease?i now damn slew in tunnel.don like tunnel...
buang 3(26/11/02) : sianz...going home with one of my fren that morning.My fren in front of me and we were exiting the expressway.She suddenly jam break and skidded.I was not so close behind her but then the road were wet.She was like skidding for abt 2s on the road and i was still braking,Too bad my bike just have to hit her then skiing bike and we skidded together lor.Her reasons for jamming her brakes is because there was a lao ah pek on a bicycle going to come out the zebra crossing which we were filtering out from.
Moral: Dont stay so close to ur fren in front. And when fitering left,slow down and check got watever dog ah cat ah or ah peks ah mas crossing the zebra crossing or not.
This year is an especially sway year for me.first time i kena accidents,and it's all in this year. -

ya lor....and one thing,those cars going to leave their lots never see at all then come out of their lot fast liao.Then surely we have to zham brake. Damn. Buang 1: Late at night near kallang KFC junction.I was turning right.@ about 50km/h just about to staighten,I buang, Bike on first lang,I lie flat on second lane.Raining day
Moral: Dun try to beng too low and speed dun be too fast.ON yellow box.

Hmm my conclusion,
1) dont speed (kind of hard not to do this when ur bike has the power to ..)
2) slow downs during turns..
3) Rainy days (dont jamm brakes, ride slowly)
4) Expressway, dont lane chane recklessly...
hmm.. will try to do the above ah.. but sometime huh when in a sian mood... hard to control man....want to wack the trottle only...

My first buang is when I got P-plate, I tried to do a U-turn, lost throttle and kiss the road, lucky got no vehicles around. But alot of people at bus stop, kind of piaseh...
Tip: When doing U-Turn, don't close Throttle too much and aim where you are going.
Second time, my friend's Honda Civic crash into my bike, funny thing is, like this time, his car lights, bumper all kena, but my bike no scratch...
Tip: Do intermintent braking, this give a signal to the vehicle behind you that you are braking. And Yes, it applies to bike too!
I must agree wif Ducati996, Multi-storey car park kena the most, especially after raining day or they just wash the car park, the floor become dammn slippery, before you know it, you are kissing the floor.
Tip: Go slow on wet surface. -
eh..im taking my 2b licence sia! and reading this buang experiences make me scared to finish up with my licence and ride on the road!!
