Defensive Riding course (Summary)

Went for this on thurs, heres the summary (for those who are curious)
- starts with theory (very sian ah talk about bike accidents...etc.. but make u aware that no point cheong on the road..)
- next practical (ride in the small circuit) use FQ CB125T bike, in first gear ride around pylons, initially quite difficult then one hand riding!! wah siong! then 2 hand riding , suddenly so easy to celar the pylon, then stand up while riding round the pylon, SIONG!!!)
- then riding simulator (quite sian lah)
- then, do rear skidding and how to counter skid!
this one look damm cool lahm, like in the movies where the bike skid!
- then 12-1 (big circuit no car)
- start warm up at the plank and then go to the bumpy course (that only 2A do) and ride on it.. wah piang! not easy bust half stand then can clear it.. and then again after the e-brake,
- then do the zig-zag plan! siong.. hard to clear.... then
then the instructor say,
"now i want u to try your best to catch me and over take me ...if you can lah, if u cant just try to follow behind ok"
wah after that he go round the s course, crank course, car's s course and crank course and back to s-course.. all the way so many conner he want us to celar it as fast as possible!
fun man!!! conner like no body business!! i conner until the foot peg scrap the floor ah.. but i still cannot do it so fast.. but very fun lah feel like a racer!!.. this is something u cant do on the road..well legally anyway...
-then next...on narrow road do uturn... many uturn on narrow road.. do until headache.. this one quite difficult.. not cant do it..
- and then riding in s-course where front wheel up the kerb, rear wheel below the kerb!! this damm thing siong!!!
all in all..on lah the course, ok lah not bad.. learn some new thing, get to play conner.... -
Sounds quite fun.... especially chasing instructer that part. Haha.... machiam race like that......

i live bt panjang, nearest of course bbdc. pls let me know how to apply, cost, time, any conditions for eligibility etc.

i noticed got three diff courses. 2nd and 3rd one is quite ex. wats the diff? anybody can reccommend which one best value for money?
i especially interested in skid control. skidded and buang twice on my ta150, now wet road always i ride scared scared even after change those bloody-useless-for-cornering irc tyres. everytime wet road got corner i kick down 2nd gear and leg out but i know leg out wont help much if bike slip, mebbe even injure leg more.
oso interested to improve general riding skill and confidence. no chance to practice safely on my own (where can practice? road?).
can someone who go before these courses recommend me which one?

but im going there today for class 3 (ill ask the BBDC ppl)
for the skid control, well.. i didint really learn much... they just say if your bike (the rear skid to the left , u counter the skid by turning handle bar to the left too)
but today morning *damm scared man* i just skidd...
at traffic light... (wet road and suddenly light become red... still far from the line so i slow down, didint really wack the brack but wah piang i started to skid!! the rear was 'fish-tailing' as explained by the instructor!!! i want to counter also cant do much just look ahead and keep handle bar straight... bike stop...damm lucky never buang).....other biker give me a *the f**ks going on* look...

both times i skid and buang, mebbe coz my phantom dam heavy, i totally no chance to react. i was on the floor by the time i realized i skidded. first time wet road skid on white arrow, second time wet road skid on oil patch, both times while banking.
i think you brake your tyres on white arrow. once i go my multi carpark, floor dam wet, one bloody car bochap me dowan wait for me to pass just go out his lot cause me to brake. i all the while on 1st gear half clutch coz scared scared, he cause me jam brake but once my tyres stop, floor so slippery bike was still moving forward and handlebar start to 'dance'. lucky legs come out in time.
anyway lemme know if u find out anything bout the def rid course thank you thank you

if you wan yr unit to subsidise for u 50%. can seek yr PAC or admin office or S1. tell the clerk for the DRC form then i tink need yr section bead for approval.
and yes! got 3 type of course but SAF onli sub the half-day course onli.
